Double-digit sales growth

Aberdeen-based Omega Completion Technology Ltd has invested in two Doosan Puma lathes from Mills Manufacturing Technology. The Puma 400L and 280L were installed in April and June respectively; they are being used to manufacture high precision complex components for Omega’s well completion and intervention equipment.

The company has experienced double-digit sales growth in recent years, thanks to the innovation and technical excellence of its products and services. Resources manager Steven Smith says: “Our products are tried, tested and proven in the field.

They help customers to increase well life productivity, reduce and avoid down-time, increase efficiency and optimise production revenues. We currently supply over 40 different completion and intervention products to the market. These include self-opening sand-face valves, clean-out valves, hydrostatic setting tools and roller-gauge carriers, to name but a few.

“We demand a great deal from our machine tools, because the products that we manufacture and supply are ‘performance-critical’. The new Puma lathes provide us with a high-performance turning capability — accuracy, speed, reliability, flexibility and, of course, productivity.”
