Newark-based engineering consultancy Morgan Tucker has acquired BES Consulting Engineers of Newton Aycliffe for an undisclosed sum, just weeks after securing £1 million from the Foresight Nottingham Fund.

BES director Derek Griffiths said: “We have been collaborating with Morgan Tucker on a number of projects over the last 12 months. From the outset, we discussed coming together, as we were a very good fit from a business and cultural perspective.”

Matthew Tucker, managing director of Morgan Tucker, said: “Our strategy has always been to create more regional offices throughout the country, to enable us to service more clients more thoroughly. Increasing our mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities will enable us to give our clients and BES’s clients an improved breadth of services.”
