MakerBot — a company founded in New York in 2009 to produce 3-D printers — is to open its first Innovation
Centre in Europe in June. This will be based at Carlo Cattaneo University in Castellanza, Italy.
Alexander Hafner, general manager of Stuttgart-based MakerBot Europe GmbH, said: “The opening of the MakerBot Innovation Centre will represent a great chance to empower students, faculty and professionals to innovate. It will prepare
students for the business challenges of tomorrow.”
