The Engineering Industries Association (EIA) confirms that funding has been approved for UK SMEs exhibiting at Metalex in Bangkok (18-21 November) and Manufacturing Indonesia/Machine Tool Asia in Jakarta (2-5 December).

Companies exhibiting at these events will receive £2,500 towards their costs, which means that a company can exhibit at Metalex on a 9sq m stand for £2,267 and at Manufacturing Indonesia/Machine Tool Asia for £759 inclusive.

The EIA says that ASEAN exhibitions attract many more exhibitors and visitors than UK shows, and they come from the whole region. For example, Metalex attracted 2,700 exhibiting brands and 791 companies from 16 countries, plus 70,837 visitors from 73 countries. Manufacturing Indonesia/Machine Tool Asia attracted 2,183 exhibitors from
36 countries/regions and 35,579 visitors.
