TaeguTec (www.taegutec.com), which has established a reputation for the manufacture of indexable-insert drills, has combined two of its popular drill designs into one tool.

TwinRush features the centring insert from the company’s DrillRush indexable head drill, which was designed to ensure accurate self-centred machining for optimum hole concentricity.

Meanwhile, both outer inserts are four-corner SPGX types with a ground wiper for improved surface finish; and when compared with conventional inner/outer indexable-insert drills, the symmetrical alignment of the SPGX inserts offers twice the productivity.

Further features of TwinRush drills include an internal through-hole coolant system, plus a hardened body with a high-quality surface finish for maximum rigidity and optimised chip evacuation.

The drills are available in diameters from 26 to 45mm for drilling depths of 5xD as standard.
