JCB has won one of its biggest-ever single orders in a deal worth more than £50 million. The order for more than
1,550 machines has been placed by the A-Plant plant-hire firm, which has now bought 10,000 machines from the Rocester-based company since its first order 25 years ago.
JCB CEO Graeme Macdonald said: “This order is one of the largest JCB has ever won. We are delighted that A-Plant has chosen JCB to supply such an extensive range of products.” The excavators will be manufactured at the firm’s Rocester, Uttoxeter and Cheadle factories.
