The Welsh Assembly Government (
www.gov.wales) has announced almost £90 million worth of funding for traineeships.
Julie James, the deputy minister for skills and technology, said that the European Union has provided £28 million towards a total investment of £89 million. This will support 24,762 young people over the next four years.
Ms James said: “Our traineeship programme helps young people who want to work but need a helping hand. Thanks to flagship programmes like traineeships and apprenticeships, we are enabling thousands of young people to develop vital skills that will help them progress on their chosen path of employment, education or further training.”
