SKF (
www.skf.com) — the global supplier of bearings, seals, mechatronics and lubrication systems (with headquarters in Gothenburg) — reports that it has sold Canfield Technologies Inc to Gen Cap America, a private-equity group that has its headquarters in Tennessee. Canfield manufactures solder, pastes and pre-forms for metal joining that are used in the electronics, plumbing and jewellery industries. It became part of SKF when the Swedish group acquired the Kaydon Corporation in October 2013. Located in New Jersey, Canfield Technologies had sales of about $17 million in 2014 and has been operating as a stand-alone business within the SKF Group.
