Radan (www.radan.com), the sheet-metal CAD/CAM system from the Vero Software Group that began life as a verification program created at Bath University, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Radan says much of its success is attributable to the fact that it stayed solely in the sheet-metal industry, creating solutions for specialist niches within that sector.

These include Radtube for driving tube-cutting applications, Radm-ax for driving five-axis lasers, Radimport and Radmanager. Radquote is due for release later this year. Radan has nearly 2,000 UK customers.
