OMS to enter nuclear market-placeOptical Metrology Services Ltd (OMS), a Stansted-based company that supplies pipe inspection and measurement services (www.omsmeasure.com), has announced that it intends to enter the nuclear market-place.

Having achieved Fit 4 Nuclear (F4N) status, OMS will bid for a number of nuclear contracts over the coming months. It has also been confirmed as the latest organisation to join the National Skills Academy for Nuclear Manufacturing.

James Sale, corporate services executive at OMS, said: “As one of the world’s leading specialist inspection and measurement technology companies, we are continually looking to further diversify and seek projects in new markets. As part of an internal analysis project to identify new target sectors, we devised a strategy to further develop our civil nuclear competencies and align our capabilities to meet market demands.

“Achieving F4N status is a huge accolade for the team, demonstrating our market-leading precision measurement and inspection capabilities, as well as our flexibility and innovation. This accreditation, combined with NSA-NM membership, will help OMS to effectively enter the nuclear market-place, providing our market-leading services to companies across the globe.”

OMS offers a comprehensive range of internal and external dimensional pipe inspection and measurement services, specifically developed to mitigate project risk, reduce delays and streamline pipe-laying efficiencies.

The company’s innovative suite of tools helps clients to meet project specifications, as well as significantly improve fit-up, welding and pipeline integrity.
