Carif, the Italian manufacturer of semi-automatic and automatic bandsaws, has added two new products to its range, both of which feature an integrated 7in LED touch-screen.

The intuitive operator interface on the new 320mm and 450mm-capacity automatic bandsaws — available from Crowborough-based Saws UK Ltd (www.sawsuk.com) — offers six applications as standard. There is also an Ethernet port for PC and remote control, as well as the import and export of cutting programs.

The full Carif range, which features a double-mitre facility and patented hydraulic down-feed, also includes a 260mm variant in semi-automatic and automatic versions. Saws UK general manager Andy Wood-thorpe said: “We are delighted to add the premium Carif range to our portfolio of bandsaw machines and accessories. It perfectly complements our existing ranges from other leading saw brands such as Alligator, DoAll, Klaeger and Startrite.”
