Successful Open House for Bystronic UK
The Innovation 2012 Open House attracted 147 visitors to the Coventry showroom of Bystronic UK (www.bystronic.com) last month, and a number of orders were taken. The picture shows Dean Cockayne (right), operations director of Dudley-based Midtherm Laser, shaking hands with Bystronic MD David Larcombe on an order worth more than £1.6 million for three laser cutting machines.
For the first time, visitors were able to see Bystronic’s latest 3kW Fiber laser and its ByJet Smart water-jet cutting concept. In addition to Fiber lasers, CO2 lasers and water-jet cutting systems, the company also presented its range of press brakes — from the Xact four-axis ‘affordable’ machine to the 10-axis Xpert with angle measuring for ‘right first time’ bending.
The latest Bysoft and Bybend software packages were also demonstrated, along with DD shears, plate storage systems, CNC plate rolls and the Webber range of deburring and finishing machines.
