Apex Auctions to handle German sale
Apex Auctions is handling the sale of hundreds of machines on behalf of RAG, after the German company closed its Hirschbach facility in the Saarland region.
Adam Taylor, marketing manager at Apex, said: “RAG was impressed with our ability to sell in multiple languages, because marketing to both German and English buyers is key to the success of the sale. This ensures that the lots can reach bidders throughout Europe, giving RAG the visibility it needs for a positive auction result.”
Apex will handle the marketing of individual machines, as well as other workshop equipment. All items will be listed on the dedicated German Web site (www.apexauctions.de) and the six other global Apex Web sites.
Around 240 items are going under the hammer; they include borers, lathes and milling machines, machining/ processing centres, bending presses, hydraulic straightening presses, welding machinery, diagnostic equipment, sand blasting machinery and equipment, plus CNC gas and plasma cutting machinery.
The auction runs until 28 June.
