New robotics role at Imperial College

Andrew Davison has been appointed to a newly created position at Imperial College London — the Royal Academy
of Engineering/Dyson Chair in Efficient Vision for Robotics.
Professor Davison, who is currently leading the £5 million Dyson robotics laboratory at Imperial College, will now have the opportunity to build on over 20 years’ experience in real-time vision technology, aiming to better understand the algorithms needed in ‘state of the art’ cameras and computer processors.
