Siemens team paints college
The Black Country University Technical College in Walsall has been given a new look, thanks to volunteers from Siemens Industry Automation (www.siemens.co.uk/ automation).
A team of 24 people from the group’s Manchester and Worcester offices picked up paint brushes to complete a refurbishment project as part of the Business in the Community scheme.
SIA divisional director Brian Holiday said: “Siemens has enjoyed a strong partnership with the college since it opened last year, and we have been able to offer a range of support measures. We have had a great time getting involved in this refurbishment project. We encourage our staff to get involved in projects that make a difference, so it is great to see how many have helped out.”
Gordon Mills, director of business engagement at the college, said: “As a specialist science and engineering college, we appreciate the partnership and support offered by a leading engineering company such as Siemens. It is crucial in helping the development of the students.”
