Exol Lubricants (
www.exol-lubricants.com) has added a new barge — Exol Pride — to the waterways of North East England, to take raw materials from Hull to its bulk blending plant in Rotherham.
The company is a long-term user of the waterways, which provide an environment-friendly option for the transport of large loads. It has been commended for the size of its carbon footprint and has been featured in ITV’s Barging About Britain with John Sergeant.
Sales director Steve Dunn said: “Exol Pride is part of our strategy to align the Exol brand with the company’s philosophy of supplying the highest-quality product, backed up by market-leading support and service.”
Where road travel is essential, Exol uses an economical fleet of dual-purpose vehicles and large tankers to deliver bulk and packaged products to customers in various sectors, including agricultural, automotive, industrial, marine and rail.
Both its blending plant in Rotherham and its head office in Wednesbury have ISO 14001 accreditation, having implemented an integrated management system that focuses on reducing, re-using and recycling waste, as well as using energy efficiently.
