Dewsbury-based Caldervale Technology Ltd recently announced the purchase of Fusion Equipment Ltd from its parent company, the Fusion Group, which is recognised as a world leader in the manufacture of machines and tooling for polyethylene pipe jointing.

Caldervale manufactures a range of tooling and equipment for installing plastic-pipe systems.

Its core products are electro-fusion control units, clamps and preparation tools for cleaning pipes before joining.

Managing director Gordon Lilley said: “We are delighted, but we have just got to crack on following the deal and make it work. It is a perfect synergy really to bring the two businesses together, as we complement one another in so many ways.”

Chesterfield-based Fusion Group MD Kevin Raine said: “After talking to some of the staff in Fusion Equipment, I can tell you that they have more belief that there is a future here for them.”
