Model aircraft enthusiasts will be able to view more than 100 large static radio-controlled model aircraft at the annual Large Model Aircraft Show, which is now in its eighth year and will takes place 23 October at the British Motor Museum (BMM) in Gaydon.

Organised by the Large Model Association (LMA), this family event offers visitors the chance to see the models ‘up close and personal’ without the restriction of the ‘flight line’ fencing at public shows — and speak to builders and
pilots about their projects.

The show will also have a large trade area offering everything from miniature propellers to small jet engines and pre-assembled models. Visitors can also attend three specialists workshops: Jet airframes and installations; Model
aircraft designs; and Improving the standard of scale aircraft.

Tom Caren, Show Manager at the BMM, said: “You can spend the entire day looking at the extensive collection of cars in the museum, the huge range of model aircraft in the static display and start that winter airplane project you have been dreaming about all summer.”
