‘Nuclear’ tunnel

The final plans for a second tunnel under the Menai Strait to connect the proposed Wylfa Newydd nuclear-power site on the Isle of Anglesey to the National Grid have been revealed.

www2.nationalgrid.com) project manager Gareth Williams said: “People can now see what the second connection would look like, including the proposed location of pylons and the tunnel under the Menai Strait. This will be one of the most significant engineering projects in Wales in recent years, involving some of the best engineers in the world.”
