Electroimpact invests in DeesideElectroimpact UK (www.electroimpact.com) is to create 37 jobs as part of a £2.8 million investment in its Deeside facility.

The aerospace engineering company will develop a new high-bay assembly facility at its Technology Park in Hawarden, which is part of the Deeside Enterprise Zone.

This will give it the capability to handle larger and more-complex projects. This investment was secured for Wales — instead of potential sites in the USA, China and Brazil — by £282,000 of business finance from the Welsh Assembly government.

Welsh Economy Minister Ken Skates said: “In the last seven years, Electroimpact UK has grown from just 27 employees to 140, and I am delighted that the Welsh Assembly government is supporting this latest development, which marks a new chapter in expanding its capacity and capability.

“Securing this project for Wales also provides a significant boost for the supply chain of 94 local companies, ensuring that the investment has a considerable impact on the wider economy.”

Electroimpact was founded by Peter Zieve in the USA in 1986, with its facility in Wales established in 2000. Its clients include Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer.
