Lundin Norway AS has announced that it made an oil and gas discovery at the end of November at the Neiden exploration well 7220/6-2R, located in PL609 in the southern part of the Barents Sea.
Extensive data acquisition and sampling was carried out at the well, including coring, logging and light oil and gas sampling from wireline tools.
The semi-submersible drilling rig Leiv Eiriksson (pictured) will now be sent to the area.
