Spanish-owned Gestamp Tallent (www.gestamp.com), which has a facility in Cannock and another under construction near Wolverhampton, is to open a plant in Slovakia to capitalise on Jaguar Land Rover’s expansion in that country.

Gestamp designs and manufactures metal parts and assemblies for the automotive industry.

The 42,400m² plant, which has attracted financial support from the Slovakian government, will eventually create almost 230 jobs, and production could begin next year. It is the 10th facility that the Spanish firm currently has under construction world-wide.
