Cambridgeshire-based NCG CAM Solutions Ltd (www.ncgcam.com) has announced that it will be the official CAM partner of the Spanish machine tool manufacturer Nicolas Correa SA, which has installed more than 1,000 double-column milling machines and 600 travelling-column milling machines world-wide.

One of Nicolas Correa’s key markets is manufacturers of large mould tools for automotive and aerospace applications; and the fact that NCG CAM’s software is focused on producing tool-paths for the mould, tool and die industry — and offers speed, ease of use and the ability to handle large part files — means that the two companies’ products are complementary.

NCG CAM software will be used in many of Correa’s Technical Application Centres, as well as for live
machining demonstrations at various global exhibitions. These include: CIMT, China (April); Industrie, France (April); and EMO, Germany (September).

The software offers many advanced 3-D machining routines, along with rest-roughing and 3+2 capabilities for all tool-paths.

A simultaneous five-axis add-on module is available, and the software can be specified for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

Furthermore, NCG CAM says that its software is compatible with any CAD package, and that just one day’s training is required to machine a live job.
