Lloyd’s Register (LR) (
www.lr.org) has launched a new service in Aberdeen to support underwater inspections of sub-sea pipelines, assets and facilities.
It will offer project management, consultancy, personnel, quality control, data processing and data management for ROV (remotely operated vehicle), AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) and diver projects.
The service aims to give operators “greater efficiency and improved confidence in the performance of their offshore and sub-sea operations”.
Andrew Inglis, LR’s sub-sea inspection manager, said: “LR has significant capability and experience in the sub-sea sector, including the management of a wide range of offshore projects and operations across the energy mix.
“By uniting this expertise and experience with our focus on safety, quality and cost-efficiency, we aim to be the preferred supplier of sub-sea inspection-management services for our clients.”
