A manufacturer of sustainable plastics is to create 50 jobs with the opening of a new production base near Birmingham.
Aquapak Polymers is relocating from its current base in Kings Norton to new 50,000ft
2 headquarters at Hollymoor Point, Rubery, to enable it to meet expanding production targets.
Production is due to start by the end of March. Once fully operational, the new facility will have the capacity to produce 30,000 tonnes of plastic pellets per year, with the flexibility to increase production as demand grows.
Up to 50 direct jobs and 25 indirect jobs should be created in the next three or four years.
Managing director Mike Everard said: “The completion of our new manufacturing facility signifies an exciting new phase of expansion for the company. This is a world-class facility that will see the creation of new jobs for Birmingham, while supporting the regeneration of the area.
“The move to Hollymoor Point gives us a centralised location known for excellence in manufacturing, while also offering the flexibility to grow our business.”
