Erith-based RK International Machine Tools Ltd (www.rk-int.com) has announced changes to its management team, with Simon Rood (pictured) appointed director and general manager.

This follows the decision by sales director Dick Aldrich to reduce his work commitments as from March 2018.
Managing director John Schwarz said: “Dick has been a major part of the team and has greatly contributed to the company’s growth over the years.

“He will remain very active within the business as a director, and the company’s new structure will also allow him to focus on expanding RK International’s grinding-product portfolio, prior to taking retirement in 2020.”

Mr Rood, who will report directly to Mr Schwarz, has worked closely with the management team since joining RK International in February 2010.

A new sales manager will be recruited to take on Mr Rood’s previous responsibilities.
