Jaguar Land Rover (www.jaguarlandrover.com) has confirmed that its new vehicle will be produced at the Lode Lane plant in Solihull — the historic home of Land Rover.

The Range Rover Velar, which is the fourth member of the 47-year old Range Rover family, received its official launch at a special ceremony on 1 March.

It is the third model to be launched at the Solihull plant in two years; it will benefit from a £1.5 billion investment in new facilities and technologies at the plant that began with the Jaguar XE and the F-Pace.

The new vehicle features the Touch Pro Duo — a new driver interface that consists of two 10in touch-screens. The upper screen is for info-tainment; the lower screen has two switches that alter its function, depending on what is being displayed.
