Gerald Mies joins the management team of FFG Europe & Americas (www.ffgeurope.com), taking over as president for the milling technology and factory automation business unit; he will be responsible for the MAG and Hüller Hille product brands, as well as the industrial-automation activities within the group.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in the industrial-engineering business; his previous roles include managing director of Fanuc Germany and managing director of robot specialist Cloos.

Mr Mies is taking over from Dr Heiner Lang, who left the group last year to take on a new career opportunity.
