Medical device plastics manufacturer Biomerics (biomerics.com) has announced that it is to build new corporate headquarters in Utah at an estimated cost of $38.5 million, adding up to 380 jobs in the process.

The company, which was formed in 2009 and is now a leading supplier to the $250 billion medical-device industry, specialises in the design, development and production of medical devices for diagnostic and interventional procedures for the cardiovascular, cardiac rhythm management and vascular access market.

Travis Sessions, CEO of Biomerics, says the investment will be used to build a new 200,000ft² corporate headquarters.

“Biomerics has five locations, including a recent expansion in Minnesota. Utah provides a unique business environment and community for the growth of the company.”

Biomerics is working closely with the local community to determine the best location for the expansion. The exact location will be announced at a future date.
