Chemique Adhesives (www.chemique.co.uk) has moved to a new production facility close to its base in Aldridge, allowing it to accommodate the ever-increasing demand anticipated for the next 10 years.

The company has also taken on three new staff, and says there are plans for a further five over the next two years.

Founded in 1985, Chemique Adhesives supplies a wide range of clients, including those involved in furniture manufacturing, transportation and construction.

Managing director Stuart Francis said that, having been based in Aldridge from the outset, the firm was keen to stay in the area rather than totally relocate.

“While the proximity to our existing units and the floor-space available ticked all the boxes, the planning status of the new unit did not suit our intended uses.

“It had previously been used as a distribution facility, which meant we needed to get permission to change its use to manufacturing.”

Chemique Adhesives subsequently carried out a programme of renovation, which included an office refit in preparation for a new Technical Development Centre and Engineering division.

It has also been equipped with new machinery worth over £300,000.
