An electronics engineering company based in Reading has been bought out of administration.

Carl Jackson and Simon Campbell of corporate recovery group Quantuma were appointed joint administrators of Repair & Calibration Ltd on 17 March, after it had been affected by cash-flow problems and the ill health of a key director.

Repair & Calibration was founded in 1984, but its turnover fell significantly in the past year. It supplied instrument calibration and repair services to companies throughout the UK.

The business has been sold to a new company called Repair and Cal Ltd, and all eight employees have been transferred.
