In response to customer demand, Seco Tools (UK) Ltd, Alcester (
www.secotools.com), has expanded its 335 series of disc-type milling inserts and cutter bodies with the introduction of the 335.14 small-diameter exchangeable-head system, the 335.16 cutter range for T-slot operations, and cassette versions of its 335.25 cutters that incorporate round inserts.
Featuring exchangeable carbide heads, 335.14 cutters are suitable for groove milling, circlip grooves, full-radius profiles and chamfering.
They are available in a variety of cylindrical and integrated collet-chuck shanks with diameters ranging from 9.7 to 34.7mm, and cutting widths from 0.7 to 5.15mm. Seco’s 335.16 cutters incorporate four-edged inserts and centralised cooling channels.
They come in diameters ranging from 25 to 50mm based on standard T-slot dimensions, while the selection of inserts can cut widths ranging from 11 to 21mm.
The expanded range of 335.25 disc mills now includes cassettes for 16- and 20mm-diameter round inserts.
According to Seco, these cutters are suitable for numerous machining operations involving corner radii.
The new cassettes accept cutter diameters ranging from 100 to 315mm.
