Following the increasing popularity in the UK of the new range of Kimla fibre lasers, plus a recent partnership with
automation and material storage company Remmert, Wetherby-based MBA Engineering (
www.mba-eng.co.uk) has appointed Adam Ball as its new commercial director.
Mr Ball has 23 years’ engineering experience, of which 12 were spent with Bystronic UK in various roles — the last as sales support and applications manager.
Before joining Bystronic, Mr Ball spent 12 years as a weapons engineer in the British Army; immediately prior to joining MBA, he was a solutions manager at Lantek, providing software to laser users.
Mr Ball said: “This role will allow me to develop relationships with our clients and offer the best-possible package to suit an application. The market shift from CO
2 to fibre technology and the added popularity of the Kimla fibre laser make MBA an incredibly exciting company to be a part of.
“Thanks to the recent partnership with Remmert and the ability to offer a more-efficient way to generate nitrogen, MBA can now offer its clients the full package.”
