Work has finished on new headquarters for an electrical, power and data solutions company that will create more than 140 jobs in West Yorkshire.
The £6.2 million building for OE Electrics is at Calder Park in Wakefield; it houses OE’s head office, along with advanced-manufacturing systems plus R&D, assembly and distribution facilities.
Established in 1986 and currently employing 150 people, the company supplies a range of cable-management, power, data and computer accessories for the commercial and public sector; it has offices in London and Dubai, plus a manufacturing facility in Australia.
The new facility will allow the company to deal with increasing demand for its products and is expected to create 144 jobs and apprenticeships over the next eight years. It was funded with support from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.
