Football industry acquisitionA company specialising in the design and manufacture of football goals and other sports equipment has acquired a manufacturer of line-marking machines. Suffolk-based MH Goals (www.mhgoals.com) — run by Mark Harrod — completed its take-over of Pressure Jet Markers for an undisclosed sum.

The latter’s machines are used at some of Europe’s top football clubs and national stadiums, including the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wembley Stadium and the Stade de France in Paris. As part of the deal, the company’s line-marker production will move from its base in Hounslow to the MH Goals manufacturing facility in Beccles.

Mr Harrod said: “Pressure Jet Markers fits perfectly into our portfolio of professional products. I have always admired the line markers that Pressure Jet produced, and I have sold a great many of them over the years to both professional and grassroots clubs. I knew when the opportunity arose to add Pressure Jet Markers to the MH Goals family that it would be of great benefit to both companies.”

Roy Squire from Pressure Jet Markers said: “Mark’s reputation in the sports-equipment industry is second to none, and his commitment to quality and product innovation is outstanding. I know that the brand and the company will flourish under MH Goals.”
