Global engineering company Renishaw (
www.renishaw.com) is exhibiting at the 52nd international Paris Air Show, being held at Le Bourget Parc des Expositions 19-25 June.
This will be the first time that Renishaw has exhibited its additive-manufacturing (AM) technology at the show. The company will be demonstrating its RenAM 500M metal additive manufacturing system and QuantAM build preparation software.
Visitors to the stand will see the technology that Renishaw is using to help the Land Rover BAR team’s challenge for the 35th America’s Cup.
Renishaw is an official supplier to Land Rover BAR and a member of its Technical Innovation Group, whose goal is to find advanced technologies and develop them to give the team’s catamaran a competitive edge.
Clive Martell, head of global additive manufacturing at Renishaw, said: “The aerospace industry was an early adopter of additive manufacturing and is rapidly taking advantage of its benefits.”
“As part of Renishaw’s commitment to industrialising AM, we have developed intuitive software and systems, and we are supporting the adoption of AM via our global network of Solutions Centres.”
