Leicestershire-based Clan Innovations, established in 2012, has invested in new CNC machinery after receiving a £110,000 flexible business loan from the HSBC bank (

The new wood-working equipment is forecast to save Clan about £80,000 in its first year in operation.
Sales and marketing director James Dixon said: “Having access to our very own CNC machine is already having a huge impact on our business. Previously, we were having to out-source this work, which was proving costly and time-consuming.”
Dave Welch, HSBC’s area director for business banking in the East Midlands, said: “This investment in the latest high-tech machinery places Clan Innovations in a really strong position, helping the business to meet demand and offer high-quality tailor-made point-of-sale devices.”
