Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of Doosan machine tools in the UK and Ireland, will be holding an Open House at its Technology Campus facility in Leamington Spa (18-19 October).
Branded ‘Strokes of Genius…LIVE’, this event will showcase new ranges of Doosan machine tools and a whole host of technology innovations.
A significant percentage of the machines on view will include new Doosan models that made their international debuts at the
Doosan International Machine Tool Fair, which was held in South Korea in May.
The Open House also gives Mills the opportunity to promote a number of new technology innovations that will soon be introduced.
These include the new Siemens Sinumerik 828D control (with 15.6in TFT touch-screen) that will become a standard feature on Siemens-controlled Doosan machines in the very near future, and the launch of a new robot workpiece load and unload automation system designed to help manufacturers significantly improve their productivity.
Mills CNC’s managing director, Kevin Gilbert, says: “Market-leading Doosan machines, innovative technology developments, industry-recognised service and support — our ‘Strokes of Genius…LIVE Open House’ has it all and is a great opportunity for component manufacturers to find out what’s so special about Mills and what makes us tick.”
Machine highlights will include: the next-generation Puma 2600SY MK II (a sub-spindle Y-axis turning centre with a 10in chuck and advanced thermal compensation); the new Doosan GT3100M turning centre (12in chuck/102mm-diameter bar capacity); the new Siemens 828D-controlled Lynx 2100LMA long-bed lathe; the recently launched DNM4500, 5700 and 6700 series of three-axis VMCs; and two best-selling Doosan five-axis machines — a VC 630-5AX (with a Siemens control) and a DNM 350-5AX.
