XYZ Machine Tools (
www.xyzmachine tools. com) has announced the appointment of two new area sales managers and an additional sales engineer, to strengthen its team at an exciting time.
The Devon-based company recently launched its first simultaneous five-axis gantry machining centre and the LR series of vertical machining centres; other machine developments are in the pipeline.
The three new appointments are Chris Jones, Dave Rawson and Lloyd Pennington. Mr Rawson brings experience gained on the shopfloor as a machinist/programmer; most recently, he worked in sales for a leading supplier of sliding-head lathes.
As area sales manager, Mr Rawson will support customers across East Anglia and Essex, as well as the North and West London areas.
Mr Pennington, the second area sales manager, started his engineering career in the design and build of machine tools for industries that included nuclear, marine and automotive; and while this is his first role in direct machine tool sales, he is confident that his experience will allow him to discuss all elements of capital equipment with customers. Mr Pennington’s area covers the northern Home Counties and part of the M40 corridor.
Mr Jones joins XYZ from a background of sales in the laser profiling sector, having worked for two leading manufacturers of this equipment.
He will be cover the West Midlands region, working alongside existing area sales manager Martin Leaper, to help accommodate the increasing demand in the area.
