EngineeringUK (www.engineeringuk.com) — an independent organisation that works to “inspire tomorrow’s engineers” — has announced the appointment of Mark Titterington as its new chief executive; he will take up this role in October.

Mr Titterington has a background in government relations and corporate communications; more recently, he spent over a decade at Syngenta, a plant science and agricultural company.

Malcolm Brinded, chair of EngineeringUK, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Mark to EngineeringUK at an exciting time for the organisation.

“Mark’s business leadership and wide communications and policy background, together with the new perspective he brings, mean he is well placed to build on the achievements of Paul Jackson and the team, and to work with the engineering community to deliver our collective ambition to inspire tomorrow’s engineers. I very much look forward to working with him.”

Mr Titterington said EngineeringUK played a “critical role” in inspiring the next generation. “I am absolutely delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the team and lead the organisation in the next phase of development.”
