Wolverhampton-based Morris Site Machinery has secured a major order from Coates — Australia’s largest equipment hire company, which already owns more than 450 Morris machines — for its extra-low-voltage DC LED SMC lighting towers.
Morris lighting towers have proven suitable for the harsh environments encountered in Australia, and the ELV model was designed specifically to comply with stringent health and safety regulations — hence the low voltage of just 48V.
The new business comes hot on the heels of Morris being recognised for its export achievements in
The Sunday Times’ annual International Track 200 listing, where the firm was ranked 166th.
Phil Winnington, international business director at Morris, said: “The Australian market has developed in the 12 years since the SMC brand was introduced.
“Rental companies and hirers have recognised the value and reliability of our products.”
