Coventry-based Fanuc UK (
www.fanuc.eu) has added a high-specification arc welding robot to its Arc Mate series.
Succeeding the Arc Mate 100iC/12, the six-axis ARC Mate 100iD offers a 12kg payload, a maximum reach of 1,420mm and a repeatability of ±0.04mm.
Among the principal features of the robot are a new graphical user interface and an improved wire feeder mounting, while a slim robot profile and a compact footprint ensure its suitability for compact welding cells.
An integrated welding-hose pack and cable management system — with all cables and air pipes passing through the robot’s hollow arm, wrist and body — eliminates the risk of external cables coming into contact with other equipment.
Many intelligent functions are supported, including the iRVision built-in vision system. The robot is also compatible with seam-tracking sensors, cameras and gripping devices.
A range of arc welding software options is available, while dedicated safety functions such as the Fanuc Dual Check Safety (DCS) control architecture can be added.
