Redditch-based Heller Machine Tools Ltd (

He started working at Heller in 1992 as an apprentice mechanical engineer and later became a mechanical fitter, helping to build the MCP series of four-axis horizontal machining centres; and while on secondment to the parent company’s headquarters in Germany, he was instrumental in developing the MC16 HMC for production in the UK.
Appointed a project manager in 2003, his first job was installing a 12-machine system in Toyota’s Deeside factory. In his latest role, he is responsible for a team of seven field engineers and five office staff.
