Global Wind Service (GWS) (www.globalwindservice.com) has completed the installation of 54 Siemens turbines at SSE’s 173MW Clyde 2 wind farm in south-west Scotland.

GWS said it was hired by SSE to do pre-assembly work, main installation, mechanical and electrical completion and cold commissioning.

It added that the last GWS technicians will finish their work at the site by the end of September.

The Clyde wind complex now consists of 206 wind turbines with a capacity of about 520MW.
