Bromborough-based Teledyne CML Composites has launched a new apprenticeship scheme in association with the Engineering College, the National Composites Centre (NCC) and the Composites UK Trade Association (

This is designed to secure the future availability of skilled personnel, as the company gears up to meet its long-term growth plans.
The ‘Trailblazer’ apprenticeship is a three-year scheme designed to train students in all aspects of composite manufacturing — from material properties, design engineering and production methods to customer support and applications of composite parts in industry sectors such as aerospace, defence and automotive/motor sport.
At the end of the three-year apprenticeship scheme, successful candidates will attain an NVQ Level 3 extended diploma.
General manager John Toner said: “Recent success in securing a number of contracts has highlighted a need to put in place a resource to train skilled engineers to help us continue our plans to make Teledyne CML Composites a global supplier.”
