Force X family of carbide drills

Force X family of carbide drills Particular highlights to be showcased by Chesterfield-based Dormer Pramet (www.dormerpramet.com) (Hall 3, Stand A64) include the new Force X family of carbide drills.

Offered with drilling depths from 3xD to 8xD, all Force X drills feature the company’s Continuously Thinned Web (CTW) technology.

CTW is based on a strong web design that is said to reduce thrust requirements during drilling, improving both cutting performance and tool life.

Also on show will be the ‘flagship’ product of Dormer Pramet’s indexable-insert range — the Force AD universal 90deg milling cutter. A large number of insert types is available, all of which are designed to offer improved stability, even in unfavourable cutting conditions.

Combining performance with the ability to support ramping, helical interpolation and plunging operations in multiple materials, the Force AD assortment is — like the Force X carbide drills — aimed at general engineering and sub-contract environments.
