Stadium Group (www.stadiumgroupplc.com) — a leading supplier of wireless connectivity solutions, power products, human machine interface and electronic assemblies — has acquired the business and assets of Reading-based PowerPax UK.

Formed in 2000, PowerPax manufactures and distributes a wide range of power supplies, battery chargers and LED products. It will join Stadium Group’s power technology division, Stadium Stontronics, which is also based in Reading.

Martin Brabham, managing director of Stadium Stontronics, said: “The deal follows a sequence of focused acquisitions by the company, as we pursue growth in niche complementary technologies.

“There is great synergy between the two businesses, which will bring economies of scale and present our combined customers with an enhanced offering in the power products space.”
