DMG Mori, Dürr, Software AG, Zeiss and ASM PT have established a strategic alliance for projects relating to Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things.
Their jointly developed ADAMOS platform service (Adaptive Manufacturing Open Solutions) will be available world-wide from 1 October to meet the specific needs of machine and plant builders and their customers, offering data autonomy and access to leading software solutions.
Christian Thönes, CEO of DMG Mori (
www.dmgmori.com) , said: “Regarding digitisation, the machine- and plant-building industry has to set its own standards and drive development, but this can only work with strong partners.
"That is why we are offering an open network with ADAMOS, together with machine-building, production and software/IT know-how.”
Adamos GmbH is registered in Darmstadt, and each partner will market the range of services independently.
Meanwhile DMG Mori has launched a partnership with Fuchs Petrolub SE to jointly develop new lubricant solutions and services for machine tool applications.
This will include further progress in the digitisation of production processes and the condition monitoring of machines and plants.
Mr Thönes said: “Use of the correct lubricant is decisive for optimal productivity when machine tools are used for intensive processing of components. In Fuchs, we are pleased to have acquired a globally based technology partner.”
