The Roemheld Group (
www.roemheld-gruppe.de) has opened a new facility in Rankweil, Austria, to make Stark work-holding equipment.
This 6,000m
2 building houses the latest manufacturing equipment and systems, including new turn-mill centres, CNC grinding machines and a 3-D measuring machine.
At this factory, Roemheld will also continue the development of its Stark zero-point fixture-locating systems, which combine high accuracy with ease of use to reduce set-up times and boost productivity.
Roemheld UK’s managing director, Terry O’Neill, said: “The company was one of the originators of zero-point technology and is still a leading innovator in this field, having just launched a new range of electrical zero-point mounting systems to meet the future demands of Industry 4.0.
“As manufacturers ourselves, we use our own zero-point elements within our manufacturing plants, so we are well placed to understand the changing demands of the market-place.
“We are confident that this investment in a new manufacturing facility will help us continue to innovate and develop new zero-point solutions.”
