Software specialist Lantek (www.lanteksms.com) has opened a new office in Bilbao; this is intended to become a centre of technological excellence in software development and engineering for the digital transformation of companies in the sheet metal sector.

With Lantek BilbaoTech, the company is committing itself to attracting IT talent from the different training centres near Bilbao — a city that has a reputation for advanced manufacturing technology.

The main activity of the new centre will engineering and developing software for clients’ projects; it will complement the existing team in Miñano, from where Lantek will continue to supply software throughout the world.

The company now has a presence in 14 countries, as well as 19,000 clients in over 100 countries.
